We are small team made up of only senior consultants who each have more than 10 years’ experience in the region, including our founder, Maryanne, meaning every client receives hands-on director-level support, every day. We are autonomous and agile and as a small agency, we do not have red tape or internal admin to trudge through – meaning things get done quickly.
Our media relationships have been built and nurtured over more than a decade and in a city which is getting busier with more and more brands vying for limited media space, we rely upon them now more than ever.

Our team works remotely. You will often see us working at one of our F&B venues and we try to spend as much face-to-face time with our clients as possible. We like to chat and plan over coffee rather than via long email chains!

Founder Maryanne has been working – and playing in the travel, F&B and wellness industry for over 10 years, both as a freelance writer and PR specialist. As an avid consumer of luxury travel and food, she knows just how to pique customers’ interest and the stories that inspire.
Maryanne has a passion for delivering excellent results, creating inspiring campaigns and both growing existing and launching new brands into the market.
A former writer in her free time, Maryanne has strong relationships with GCC media, influencers and brand partners and has years of experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from hospitality and F&B to luxury real estate and fitness.
Originally from the UK, Maryanne has gained a robust understanding of the GCC market during her 11 years in Dubai. Maryanne also has her own successful parenting podcast and contributes to luxury travel and lifestyle publications in the GCC including NEAR+FAR, Destinations of the World News, Emirates Woman.

Driven by a curiosity for new cultures and experiences, Alaina relocated to Dubai in 2022, where she chose to focus more deeply on marketing while rediscovering her passion for PR. In 2025, she established her freelance consultancy and joined The Comms Club team, bringing with her hands-on experience in PR planning and execution, event management, influencer relations and creative ideation.
Known for her collaborative working style and eye for detail, Alaina supports brands in building meaningful visibility through thoughtful storytelling, well-executed campaigns and memorable brand experiences.
